Q: What are the bare essentials to get a web site started?

A: A domain name is needed (www.yourbusiness.com) as well as hosting for your site pages. Hosting is a space you rent out for your site pages to be uploaded to. Web Catchers Design can set all of this up for you.

Q: How many pages do I need for my site to be successful?

A: Your site should be an extension of the business marketing that you currently do. Our recommendation is that the look and the content of your web site should be close to the same as that of your brochures, letterhead, and business logo. This creates continuity of solid business structure. State your companies mission statement, goals, experience, services or products, and then some. Users on the web want INFORMATION the more you give the more likely the chances their questions will be answered and they will render services from you.

Q: What if I only need management once in awhile and not every month?

A: Management is still put on a monthly contract in most cases. One month there might be 20 minutes worth of changes and the next month it could be 3 hours. Really it all comes out in the wash in the long run. The monthly cost is pretty acurate when multiplied by 12 and compared to the hours of service provided for that year. Occasionally we will change a few things on a site without a contract. This is when the client calls every 6 or 12 months.
